The character design and their reasons for joining your cause are much stronger and the city of Crossbell pulls you in and makes you feel as though you’re living in it in a way Liberl never did for me. If I compare this to the Sora no Kiseki FC/SC duology (Trails in the Sky), for me it’s no contest. I can’t think of a single other JRPG that made me feel so close and so invested to a set of characters in an JRPG let alone a portable one.
